Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as the label's debut female singer for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. In October 21st, 2016, she released Pho, her debut EP for the label Dreamville Records. This was when she first gained recognition. Her debut studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox has released her music online since 2012 following the debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. In 2014, she continued to release her music on the web, including her own release single Bound. On 21st of July 2015. Omen included her in Elephant Eyes the track"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole asked her to join him in collaboration for Rihanna's remark. In the following calendar, her songs was played throughout Dreamville. The announcement of her decision to be signed by Dreamville Records was made on December 8th. Backseat is a song that she recorded with Cozz on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II. On October 21, 2016 the EP Pho debuted. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track, and performed on with the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she was able to be a guest on two songs with her labelmates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox's debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on 16 July 2018. The debut single, Whipped Cream of the album dropped on in September 5th, 2018, accompanied by a an accompanying music video. Then, in November, she released the singles forty Shades of Choke & Grampa. Then, on November 13 the singer released two new singles entitled No One as well as Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on February 26, 2019, to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured alongside Cole as part of The Creed II sound track on November 16. A music video debuted on 20 February 2019 in conjunction with the song. Within a time, it was viewed more than 3 million views. She was the supporting act for 6LACK during the From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December 2018.
